Witten Explains Sideline Explosion

The last time most of you saw Jason Witten, he was giving the verbal business to one of the team’s sideline doctors for not being able to come back in the game last Sunday in Chicago.
While Witten was pleading his case then, his stance hasn’t changed nearly a week later. The tight end says he never had a concussion, just got dinged up a bit, and could’ve returned to the game.
But Witten said the reason he was upset the most was not being able to find his helmet and having the medical staff taking his helmet away.
“I just wish they would’ve told me that I wasn’t going in,” Witten said. “That’s why I really got upset. But I know they had a job to do. And they were looking out for me. I’ve apologized to them and they understand.”
Witten said he’s suffered a concussion before and that hit he took against the Bears certainly wasn’t a concussion.
“I think I just got up too fast,” Witten said. “But I was fine. I wanted to go back in because we were driving.”
