Font Size: Both offensive tackle Michael Oher and safety Tom Zbikowski received $5,000 fines from the NFL for incidents in last weekend’s 24-17 win over the Cleveland Browns, according to a league spokesman.
Oher took a swipe at the head of Browns defensive end Robaire Smith at the defense of tight end Todd Heap. Smith unnecessarily pushed Heap back after a false start blew the play dead.
“You got to have your teammate’s back,” Oher said after the game.
Zbikowski was slapped a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for throwing Cleveland running back Peyton Hillis to the ground out of bounds. On the tail end of a 49-yard run, Zbikowski’s infraction lengthened the gain.
