It somehow seems appropriate to share Forbes; list of the top earning dead musicians on a day called Black Friday. Almost making the $7 million cut were Richard Rogers and George Harrison, who earned $6 million each and earning just a touch less were Tupac Shakur, Frank Sinatra and Notorious B.I.G.
The Top Earning Dead Musicians In 2013 are:
5. Jenni Rivera ($7 million)
4. John Lennon ($12 million)
3. Bob Marley ($18 million)
2. Elvis Presley ($55 million)
1. Michael Jackson ($160 million)
Forbes figures are based on pretax earnings from October 1st, 2012 through October 1st, 2013. Management and legal expenses were not deducted, and estimates are based on information provided by lawyers, agents and others along with data from Nielsen SoundScan, the RIAA and Pollstar.

Forbes List Of World's Best Paid Musicians 2013
Forbes has released a new list of the best paid musicians of the last 12 month. Forbes looked at income from June 1st, 2012 through June 1st, 2013, using data sources including Pollstar for live concerts, the RIAA, Nielsen SoundScan, managers, lawyers and many of the artists themselves. The took into account ticket sales, royalties for recorded music and publishing, merchandise, endorsement deals and other business ventures.
