See a new movie and focus on the angles or effects put into it. Or go to the store or library and find something to focus your attention on for at least 30 minutes. Try to find something you can relate to your work.
I often tend to do this at work, when there is music playing in the background. Cause I usually tend to hear parts of a song that I didn't know there, or better yet listen to music with headphones on. The same result should there as well. You can do the same thing with movies as well. And my favorite example as a parent is to observe your kids when they don't know that your around and see how they act. Just for examples to prove my point within this blog.
