Heyku 15

Heyku 13

My lastest Heyku: I get any sleep on friday cause I was trying to get my licence transferred from Maryland, Pennsylvania, while trying to get my registration and tags taken care too. But didn't work out for me. So I just ended up coming home with a new license for now. And Saturday was another day feeling refreshed and everything and ready to take on the day.

Musicians: Take A Ride On The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster

Musicians: Take A Ride On The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster

2327912606_6ae234ce5fMusicians – if you are at all “serious” about your music, and you are looking to create a sustainable career from your craft, while building a tribe of people that will support it, then like it or not, you’ve embarked on the path of the entrepreneur. And being an entrepreneur comes with its fair share of ups and downs, twists and turns, and a few barrel rolls in between.
Think you're ready for it?
Well that’s actually a trick question, because you’ll never be fully prepared; regardless of how many articles you read, how many classes you take, or how awesome your gear might be. But that’s not the point; the point is to be like Nike and just do it!It doesn't matter if you are successful right out the gate (you probably won't be), but failure will provide you with greater lessons than any class or article, and you will be far more educated and experienced on how to make your next move. As the character Morpheus tells Neo in the film The Matrix:"There's a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path."So musicians, I encourage you to take the entrepreneur roller coaster, at the very least for the growth opportunities that come along for the ride. You won't soon regret it.

Take a vacation

Re-energize your body and mind with a relaxing vacation. It can be a big getaway, or just a day in bed with a good book. Call your boss, tell your friends, and do anything but what you typically do on a workday.
Yes this great advice, but for my grinders out there. There is no rest you gotta keep going, but yet for anyone else that needs a break and take it but yet don't take a great big to the point where you forget that you have a job to report to. So take that vacation, or that rest that you need.

Take a shower

Edward de Bono once explained: "some of the best results come when people stop to think about things that no one else has stopped to think about." The shower is the perfect place to stop and think about your problem.
I think that the shower is one of them, for me there are others. For example, washing dishes, sleeping, driving (anywhere), and my favorite, and my worst place is at work. What I mean by that is that I can come up with alot of brilliant ideas at work. Mostly coming up with new songs. The only problem I have with it is, and also is the worst thing to happen to me is. That I can't write down the ideas, but before I had moved to Pennsylvania to work at my new job, I would record the beat, or the ideas musically in my head and put them in my voice recorder and then would try to remember what the idea was later when I'm ready to make it into a musical composition.

Make an analogy

In his book, "The Element," Sir Ken Robinson explains: "Growth comes through analogy, through seeing how things connect rather than only seeing how they might be different."  Oflow

Through this passage of Oflow. Seeing things for there similarities, and not the difference of it. Try also looking at what your trying to do from more than one angle and see what you can come up with. This process may take awhile to get it fully, but yet most of the time its worth it.

Why I can't sleep.
