Set smaller goals

Identify what you're trying to do and then break it down into smaller goals. Write the goals down somewhere and check one off as you complete it as a way of monitoring your creative progress.
This idea is to breakdown your ideas. First and foremost come up with an idea. Set a major goal that you want to accomplish. And then break that whole idea down to a lot of little ideas that you want, and must accomplish for your goal. And then once those are accomplish then move on to the next one, and then the next one after. Do all this until you have accomplished everything that you had set to accomplish.

Ignore time

What would you do if time stopped right now? If you didn't have to worry about the clocks moving forward, what would you do? What happens if you did that now?
Believe me this is a great opportunity to let all of your creativity out. No matter what your working on, and if you have a active normal family life, or even a regular 9 to 5 job and do any kind of art on the side. Then you know what I'm talking about cause you know that you will hardly ever have all this time in the world at this one time. So let yourself go feel free. You may have to do it in installments but get it done.

Tools as solutions

How could the tools you're using become symbolic of the solution you're looking for? Look at the attributes of the tools or the way you use them and compare those things to the project or problem at hand.
Use what you have around you, see if it is enough to give yourself the answer that you are looking for depending on what the problems is. For me just having a computer, and the internet should usually be enough for most people. But if it's not then dig deeper if that's possible.

Light a candle

Get a big, wide candle and light it. Work on whatever you need to get done until the candle has created a sufficient pool of liquid wax. Even if you have to fake the work, get busy.
This is just giving you a mental time limit for yourself. Or even using an hour glass will work as well. But the idea is to get busy with whatever that you are doing. Or even if it is a new project, or new work for you get started and see how far you can progress by the time limit is up. If you're using a candle like it said above then it is until the pool of liquid wax starts to form. An hour-glass of course when all the sand runs out. But the main goal to this post is to get something accomplished.

Bathroom think

Go into the nearest bathroom, sit down, and give your brain a break by forgetting about whatever it is you've been focusing on. Bathrooms are often the most personal and quiet places you can be in, for good reason.
The bathroom can be used to either give your brain a rest, or be creative however you want to take it. Sit down, and give you're a brain a break. And either focus on whatever your trying to do, or even to take a break on your problems for the moment. Whatever you decide to do the bathroom is a great place to get something done, other than  your personal business.

Flip a coin

Write down two random ideas, then assign heads or tails to each and flip a coin. Whatever idea wins the coin toss should be paired with another random idea. Repeat until you simply can't list any more ideas and declare a winner!
Just get a couple or even a few ideas together, and then flip to see what ideas that you have can be paired together. Or come up with two ideas, and then flip a coin. And whatever idea that wins, see what other random ideas that you can come up with to compare to the last idea that you have.

Storyboard

Use multiple sheets of paper to draw some ideas. See how you can connect the ideas by hanging them on a wall and filling in the gaps between each by creating new cards with new ideas.
I like this idea myself, cause I use it quite often myself when it comes down to me writing new music for myself. I listen to everything that I have for the project and then see what kind of story can I make out of it. Also, on the web there is a cool website that I like called "Pinterest" and you can post pictures on your profile, and then a lot of pictures draws a storyboard of your page that I like a lot cool concept. Try it out.

Focus on the really difficult parts

Magnify the really difficult parts of what it is you're trying to do. If you look at them close enough can you see ways to make them easier or to get past them?
This is one of those creative ideas where you may have to take some time to do. Cause you may have to look really close to what you have and really narrow down, or even research for solutions to whatever the problem may be.

Tune into the beginning

Turn on a random movie or open a book or magazine and watch or read just the first part. Then turn off the show or close the book and see what ideas come about.
Just get idea of what going on by finding out what the movie, or book is all about and just watch, or read the first chapter of the movie, or book. And then see how the scene is set up, the characters, basically get the structure of whats goin on in the book, or movie and build your ideas, or idea that you trying to create.

Heyku post 4

20130823-055725.jpg
This night I can't remember what the date was but in the first line" football game." I was watching a preseason football game( I don't remember who was playing), but that was what I was watching at the time. Second line: "2:30 a.m. working on music" this was the time when I was most likely copyrighting music at that time. The third line "trying to be creative best" I was trying to be creative at my best at the time.

Gather Items

Take a few minutes to gather physical objects, then experiment with ideas involving each item. What if you combined items? What if you took a piece from one item and added it to another item?

I think what anyone should with this idea is to gather any, or everything that proteins to the subject matter of what you're working on. And then mess around with the items and see whatever you can come up with. And see how that works, anything is possible combinations, single ideas, anything that your imagination can come up with try it out.

Take a shower

Edward de Bono once explained: "some of the best results come when people stop to think about things that no one else has stopped to think about." The shower is the perfect place to stop and think about your problem.
I think that the shower is one of them, for me there are others. For example, washing dishes, sleeping, driving (anywhere), and my favorite, and my worst place is at work. What I mean by that is that I can come up with alot of brilliant ideas at work. Mostly coming up with new songs. The only problem I have with it is, and also is the worst thing to happen to me is. That I can't write down the ideas, but before I had moved to Pennsylvania to work at my new job, I would record the beat, or the ideas musically in my head and put them in my voice recorder and then would try to remember what the idea was later when I'm ready to make it into a musical composition.
